Read my article in Living River Cities Magazine

Several months ago a friend approached me and asked if I’d like to be part of her upcoming project — a magazine devoted to life in the Mid-Ohio Valley. When she asked if I could take photographs and write articles, I said, “Absolutely!” The first issue debuted this week, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s beautiful.

Thank you, Angela.

Published by Angela Phelps and edited by Lauren Weber, Living River Cities is a celebration of the Mid-Ohio Valley and all that is happening and changing here. I am grateful that Angela and Lauren invited me to feature my photography, my writing, and my wedding officiant business in this beautiful magazine.

My first article is “3 Reasons Why Micro-Weddings Are The Latest Trend.” I chose this topic because micro-weddings are the heart of my business. It’s true. There’s good reason why so many couples choose to scale down their wedding day. In fact, many of my couples will testify that “less” was the key to more enjoyment the day they got married.  Read my article and their insights by clicking HERE.

Living River Cities has something for just about everyone. Turn the pages, and you’ll see a lot of familiar names from the Mid-Ohio Valley writing about the following topics:

  • Art
  • MOV Sports
  • Business
  • Essential Oils
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Pets
  • Legal Issues
  • Technology
  • Reviews: Movie, Book, Comic Book, and Game

This is only the beginning. Angela and Lauren have big plans for this magazine. I hope the community will support them as they develop and expand their publication.

Living River Cities is available in hard copy at the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library, at WV Central Federal Credit Union, and at many more businesses throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley, including the Mid-Ohio Valley Wedding Officiants chapel. I’m excited to be part of this special project and would like to congratulate Angela and Lauren for a job well done on this first issue. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to Bruce Wunderlich for providing a beautiful photograph of Marietta, OH for the first issue. It’s gorgeous!

In other news….

February will be an exciting month for Mid-Ohio Valley Wedding Officiants. My open house is scheduled for February 8 from noon to 4:00. I’ll be debuting the new, elegant look of the chapel that will take us through spring and summer. I’m already scheduling Valentine’s Day weddings. If you’d like to get married or renew your wedding vows, reach out to me for an appointment. Or, be spontaneous and walk in to get married or reaffirm your wedding vows for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

Soon I’ll announce a new service in the chapel. This has been in the works for many months, but I needed to free up my schedule so I could add something extra that the community could enjoy. Stay tuned. I’ll announce that soon.

There are so many wonderful changes in store for Mid-Ohio Valley Wedding Officiants. Thank you for supporting my little business. My goal for 2020 is to keep doing what I’ve been doing…only better. Here’s to another year of new experiences and exciting adventures.
